What fueled us?

Schani stands for authentic flavours and aromatic spices – let us take you on a culinary journey to India! Bringing its authentic flavour to Europe is at the core of your mission. Why? Because the founding family Bhandari sorely missed the essence of traditional, wholesome Indian meals when they moved to Germany in the 1980s. This longing led to the idea of introducing Indian groceries and authentic recipes from India to their new homeland, Germany.

The family business worked under the brand name Schani to bring you hyper-local flavours from South Asia. With it, the Bhandari family and other Indian families found a piece of their motherland – and fans of this sensational cuisine got the Indian food experience in its full glory!
